A few weeks ago we delivered the completed 1957 Capri to its new home and happy owners. At their request we delayed showing the photos as they wanted the big reveal to create a bit of a splash. This 57' Capri will be towed behind the customers tri-five resto-mod car so we made some tasteful upgrades to the boat to give it a few modern features.
The boat is a fully skinned hull and no soak bottom. Fitted with a modern Mercrusier V8 and updated interior with sliding Captain seats. We included a modern stereo with a design aesthetic to match the boat so it blends right in.
We had local pin-striper Q-Ball do the name on the back - Supermurgitroid is 50's slang for "really cool". It's done in aluminum leaf and the golden amber tone comes from 7 coats of varnish applied on top for a total of 19 coats.
