| We have been creating award winning restorations since 1989 and are the Pacific Northwest’s premier Classic wood runabout boat restoration shop. Offering all services from minor repairs to full frame out concours restorations. In 2006 we changed the name to better reflect our focus and the romance of wood. Joining forces with Absolute Classics Marine – our brokerage division - we can offer you the ultimate in Classic Boat service.
Starting as Middleton Boatworks - a one man shop operated by Andrew Middleton we have grown to be one of the largest shops on the west coast, are known all over North America and with a solid reputation for quality and integrity. Andrew was trained in wooden boat construction methods at the prestigious International Boatbuilding Training College in Lowestoft, England. Upon his return to Canada he decided to open his own shop and was instantly inundated with work from local wood boat owners who had been searching for skilled local wood boat specialists. Soon his work was being noticed by clients outside the local area and ultimately he was restoring boats for people from all over the northwest. Today we are a shop with up to 5-8 employees working full and part time on a wide range of restoration projects. We have restored or worked on dozens of Chris Crafts of all shapes and models, Century’s, Shepherds, Dodges, Greavettes, Dispro’s, Grand Craft, Jones/Hacker, to name a few. Some of our more recent restorations are featured in our gallery. Feel free to review them and we’d love to talk to you about doing a boat for your personal enjoyment.
